On January 27, I had the pleasure of attending the 2018 Atlanta Nurse Expo (ANE) in Atlanta, GA at Georgia State University–the first stop on The Nurse Link’s 2018 Nurse Expo Tour. So, who is The Nurse Link?
The Nurse Link (TNL) is a social enterprise that aims to facilitate relationships among current, future, and aspiring nurses. Through interactive services such as events, mentorship, coaching/counsel etc., TNL promotes the advancement of healthcare professionals. In addition, our organization impacts the community through scholarship, advocacy and awareness for the undeserved and other deserving organizations.
Their aim is to be a resource to those in academic and entrepreneurial pursuit of the field of nursing. Our goal and efforts help meet the growing demand for nurses and innovators while simultaneously enriching the workforce and community as recommended by the Institute of Medicine. By linking nursing professionals and creating positive dialogue we wish to establish a platform that collectively improves nursing culture.
The ANE brought out hundreds and hundreds of current, future, and aspiring nurses for networking and empowerment. Attendees were able to shop and interact with over tens vendors which featured university nursing programs, hospital recruitment, test prep organizations, and nurse entrepreneurs.
In a separate lecture hall, attendees listened to several speakers from across the country who touched on topics of advocacy, policy, ethics, social media, finance, social media and much more.
Check out some pictures of the vendors, participants, and speakers below!
To all aspiring nurses, nursing students, and current nurses, I hope you all enjoyed this post, and take the time to participate in one of the Nurse Expos on the 2018 Nurse Expo Tour. Next stops:
